Believed to have been built in the 9th century during the reign of the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty, the temple is dedicated to the goddess of happiness and joy. Although parts of the temple were damaged over the centuries, its platform and sculptural fragments still display exquisite stone carvings depicting deities, celestial beings, and mythological scenes. Situated right next to the famous Chand Baori stepwell, the temple adds a spiritual dimension to a visit to Abhaneri.
