Harshat Mata Temple

The Harshat Mata Temple, located just beside Chand Baori in Abhaneri, is dedicated to Harshat Mata, the goddess of joy and happiness. Built in the 9th century during the reign of King Chanda, the temple showcases the grandeur of early medieval Rajasthani temple architecture. Although much of it was destroyed during invasions, the surviving structure and intricately carved stone pillars still reflect the artistic excellence of its era. Local legend says the goddess spreads joy and good fortune to her devotees, making the temple a revered pilgrimage site.
