More About: Built in 1354 by Feroz Shah Tughlaq, the fort was once the heart of the fifth city of Delhi, Firozabad. It served as the royal citadel and houses palatial ruins, a Baoli (stepwell), mosque, and most notably, the Ashokan Pillar, which dates back to the 3rd century BCE. Locals believe the ruins are inhabited by djinns (spirits), and Thursdays see visitors coming to offer prayers, light candles, and leave letters seeking wishes and protection.

Architecture: Constructed with rubble masonry, the fort reflects Tughlaq-era architecture, which is robust, minimalistic, and functional. The layout includes open courtyards, broken arches, and domed pavilions.
