The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the ‘Baby Taj’, is a beautiful Mughal mausoleum built between 1622–1628 by Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg. This was the first Mughal structure built entirely from white marble, with intricate pietra dura inlay work that later inspired the Taj Mahal. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, the tomb is surrounded by lush gardens and offers a peaceful retreat from Agra’s busier attractions.
